This past weekend, RUMTA’s A and B Teams put their skills to the test at Yale University’s 25th Annual Mock Trial Invitational. Rutgers A faced teams from Cornell University, University of Michigan, Georgetown University, and University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Meanwhile, Rutgers B faced teams from Princeton University, University of Portland, Fordham University Lincoln Center, and University of Florida. RUMTA applauds both teams for their hard work and especially congratulates A-Team competitor and President, Veronica Bido, for her 17 rank witness award!
After the long weekend, Veronica made sure to express her happiness with the teams’ performance, noting, “I am so proud of the progress each team has made—that means more to me than any individual award I can earn.”
As the fall semester unfolds, RUMTA competitors are getting progressively more comfortable with this year’s case, Joey Petrillo, as Administrator of the Estate of Genesis Petrillo v. Harper Martini and Peony Estates. Each tournament brings with it valuable lessons and opportunities for each competitor to grow, both as individuals, and as a team. As the organization gears up for our own Scarlet Knight Mock Trial Invitational this coming weekend (11/21/20 - 11/22/20), our teams couldn’t be more thankful to compete alongside and learn from some of the best Mock Trial programs across the country!
