TOM TWITCHELL CLASS OF 2016

On February 9-11, 2018, RUMTA ‘16 alumnus Thomas Twitchell competed on a three-attorney team representing the NYU School of Law at the TYLA New York Regional competition. The team was the only one to make it through the competition with a perfect record, earning one of two bids to the National Trial Competition. Tom represented the plaintiff, the wife of a man electrocuted while sampling grain from a railroad car. He also won an individual award as the tournament's top opener.

RUMTA '16 alum Madhuri Swarna helped coach the team in preparation for the regional competition. The team will meet 27 other teams from across the country on April 4-8, 2018 in Austin, TX at the National Trial Competition. The Competition is hosted by the Texas Young Lawyers Association and sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers.
