Zaniah joined the team her freshman year and gave the closing statement for C-Team during the 2009-2010 season. For the next three years she competed on A-Team and held various positions on the Executive Board, including president during her senior year. She was a competitor on the first RUMTA team to advance to Nationals; that year Rutgers placed second in the nation.
Since graduating, Zaniah has returned to the organization multiple times to offer her time as assistant coach for the B-Team. Zaniah received a scholarship and award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy from the New York City Trial Lawyers Alliance, showing how RUMTA excellence extends far beyond the organization’s home on the Raritan. She worked as a judicial law clerk for the New Jersey Courts after pursuing her JD, and is now the Founder & Managing Attorney of Zaniah Maynor Law, LLC.
