Mike Kleynman

Treasurer (2016-17) A Team Captain (2018-19)

Mike Kleynman competed with Rutgers Mock Trial for his entire undergraduate career, becoming the second person in RUMTA history to be on the A-Team for all four years. During his time on the team, he served as the Treasurer and A-Team Captain. In 2017, he competed at the National Championship Tournament in Los Angeles, CA where he earned an All-American Attorney Award with a perfect 30 ranks. He then went on to compete at Nationals again in Minneapolis, MN (2018) and in 2019, served as A-Team Captain. Mike competed in the prestigious “Trial by Combat” tournament twice in his four years, successfully ending his Mock Trial career as one of the top 16 mock trial attorneys in the country (with 20+ individual awards).

Post-graduation, Mike has gone on to teach English in France and is currently pursuing a PhD in English at Duke University.
