While on the team, Gaurav was a defense opener, prosecution opener, a witness, and during his senior year, he was the captain of the B Team. Gaurav received the coveted Alyssa Disturco award, which the entire team votes on. The member that best exemplifies Rutgers team spirit, demonstrates leadership, performs at a high level, and overall goes above and beyond for RUMTA receives this award.

Gaurav attended medical school at Hofstra North Shore- LIJ School of Medicine, beginning in the fall of 2013. He has worked as a research assistant at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, as an intern at Jones Day in Singapore, and as a canvasser for Food and Water Watch. During the summer of 2013, he worked as a scribe in the emergency room at a hospital.

I talked about RUMTA in all of my medical school interviews and my job interviews. The experience at RUMTA helps build skills that can be used in places as diverse as medical school to canvassing neighborhoods for a non-profit organization. Public speaking, leadership skills, and working well within a team are all sought after abilities.
