Class of 2010 Major: Political Science

Boston University Law School Attorney at Mazie Slater Katz & Freeman

Treasurer (2009-10) B-Team Captain (2008-09)

Cory joined RUMTA his freshman year at Rutgers, and he held an attorney position during each of those years. His senior year, he held an attorney position on the A-Team, as well as the role of treasurer on the executive board.

After Rutgers, Cory attended law school at Boston University. He has completed the New York and New Jersey bar examinations, and he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Heidi Willis Currier in New Brunswick, NJ. Cory served as an associate at Sellar Richardson, P.C. in Livingston, NJ for a number of years. In 2019, He was recognized as the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the Essex County Bar Association. Currently, Cory is a trial lawyer for Mazie Slater Katz & Freeman, concentrating his practice in personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights litigation.

I can confidently say that I wouldn’t have acquired the job as a Law Clerk if it weren’t for my 4 years doing Mock Trial. Despite all those more measurable effects, perhaps the greatest effect that RUMTA has had on my post-graduation life is that it has provided me with the confidence that is required in any aspiring lawyer.
